SAIL Online for National Board Certified Teacher Leaders

The SAIL Online for NBCT Leaders program is a two-year professional development program that expands the NBCT's knowledge base on the power of teachers as reported in the current research pertaining to students and learning. SAIL Online for NBCT Leadership supports the efforts of NBCT's in their schools to heighten the urgency for high expectations for all learners.

Year 1

Module 1: Creating the Sense of Urgency for Student Expectations

Module 2: Examining Leadership Styles, Behaviors and Paradigms as they Relate to Professional Roles and Responsibilities

Module 3: Teaching for Understanding by Creating the Connections for Meaningful Learning

Module 4: Exploring Leadership Models that Promote Collaborative Relationships with School Administrators

Year 2

Module 5: Managing and Monitoring Student Learning

Module 6: Building Collaborative Relationships with Peers and Colleagues

Module 7: Systemic Reflection of Teacher Practice

Module 8: Engaging the Village to Educate the Child

By completing the SAIL Online for National Board Teacher Leader program, Learners have the opportunity to earn 18 graduate hours toward their Ed.D. or Ph.D. when enrolled in Concordia University Chicago (CUC). CUC is accredited through NCATE and is completely online. Doctoral degrees (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) in NBCT Leadership begin at $24,974.
